The ASRS is a screening tool, not a diagnostic instrument. A positive Part A screen indicates symptoms highly consistent with adult ADHD and warrants further evaluation, but it does not confirm a diagnosis. Only a qualified clinician can diagnose ADHD after a thorough evaluation.
